New and old

Well, this week has been exhausting, with new students arriving daily, mainly in a distressed condition. Then last night in the lower village there was a hugh fight... between two burmese men. One "stole" anothers wife, so the son (Tolonai) decided to beat up the older grieved man.... extending the attack to two small daughters.... I was given the role to patch up a wounded man and take care of the two daughters (aged 4, and 6years)... Because of the extensive head injuries, the man was transferred to Sai yok hospital. By the time I got back to the village, the headman, in his wisdom decided that "nevermind, they forgive each other" was the tactic. The doctor and I think "call the police and remove the fighters from the village" is the policy! Pray for peace in the village and that true wisdom prevails.
Consequently, my nervous system is a bit frayed. I come to the market, and to email, to hear that my Phillipino son and his wife arrive today!!! Wonderful.

Home again

After a long flight, losing luggage on the way, I am home without my clothing and many gifts for the children. But pleased to be home anyway.

I think I had spent maximum time away as far as the kids went. They were extremely emotional when I arrived last evening (Thai time 7.45pm). The good news is that Baby Zac went for an annual check up, and he is all okay, no more problems with his heart. Johann also contented while I was away. God is so good to us.

Welcome

This is a first post from Bamboo School. It will be an on-going journal by students, teachers and visitors to the site. This one comes from PUC, in America where I am enjoying being with Jon, Tim, Chrissy and Jose. It's cool, no cold!
