Maximum means.... to the max

Have you ever wished to see through God's eyes?? This week I have been reminded of my friend Udom's classic statement when we were undated with new kids to enrol...." If God sends His selection of kids to our schools, He will provide to resources and the patience that we need." How many is too many? In the girls' dorm it is a case of all rolling over together, not room for no conformity.

In amongst the new ones, most have lost at least one parent and many have been abandoned by the surviving parent... How can I say no. Please pray that I have enough love for each child, and that I spend His resources wisely. Just when the purse is empty, someone has sent more funds.... from USA, from Spain, from NZ and from Japan. God's timing is matching our needs! Why should I be surprised!!

Jezreel and his wife have decided to return to the Phillippines next month. God has plans for them. Please pray for this dedicated young couple as they look for His leading in their lives.

Zac and Johann are both in the hospital at Sai Yok. Its rainy season, so the weather changes affect their health. We now have Johann's brother and sister with us permanently as their fatehr has had a stroke and cannot take care anymore. His mother is nowhere to be seen.

I am the "biggest" mum at the local school. We have 40 children attending the local elementary school, 7 at high school and 11 at Adult school. The remaining few have disabilities which prevent their attendance at normal schools. Praise God for blind eyes being turned regarding paper work when enrolling them!

Temple preaching

Last Wednesday, our parapelegic man, Mr Dum was depressed. His urine bag sprung a leak. When he asked his sister to fetch Momo, she got mad, telling him that it was shameful to interrupt a buzy woman over a small matter. He was so saddened to realize that he was such a burden to everyone. He dragged himself into the storeroom of the house, and drunk a bottle of grass killer. Found much later in the day, the family transferred him to Sai Yok hospital.

Momo Cat had been in Bangkok, returning to the hospital to take care of Johann at 2am. Instead of sitting with Johann, she spent the night near Dum, feeding him water from time to time. He lost the fight at 8am.

The sister of Dum requested that Momo preach in the buddhist temple for his funeral on Friday night. The SDA pastor was unavailable to help, so Momo asked the kids to pray for her to find the right words to comfort the family, who are mainly buddhist. Jeremiah 40:10 "I the Lord God, look into the mind and search the heart. I judge according to your deeds and actions." Mr Dum had thought his family were better off without his burdens, so he actioned this thought. There was no greater love than to lay down his life for his family and friends. God will judge according to his understanding. So noble, yet so unnecessary. Christianity is so simple, so free. Treasure it, use it, and tell another person before its too late.
