The Lakeside
We are into the development of the lakeside property, about 8 kilometers from our school campus. God is so good to us.
The land will provide recreational space for the children of Bamboo school. As well it will allow the students to learn about environmental management, project development planning and building work.
At the upper level of the land, there is space for the establishment of a church building, a small medical clinic and a training room. There is a Burmese Karen community consisting of 20 families, within 4 kilometers of the land.
At the lower levels, just above the high water line, small bamboo bungalows will be established for guest accommodation, and student housing. A short pier will be established for fishing and for landing of rafts (bringing guests from the main road along the opposite shore)
We are also starting a new project at the home base.... a playground for the little ones. We are being driven crazy by wet weather blues.... with many small ones underfoot. Toys every where!!! Anyone want to come to build??
