The happy day
Today we have returned to Bangkok, and it seems normal. The month had its peaks. God kept us in his hands, protecting us from harm and dangers. Unknowingly, I drove myself into a heap of trouble, when I put Sarah on the plane…. As I came back a “shortcut” along the high motorway, I noticed not much traffic…. then no traffic in the rear vision mirror….. no people manning the tollgate… then black smoke. A policeman came alongside, telling me to put on my siren and get out of here!! God gave me a safe trip out. I was shaking when I pulled into Nakon Pratum!! God is always good, even when we are foolish!!
Today Leslie and PoKwarlay come for a pregnancy check!! Also I bring a friend from Sai Yok who has a problem with her twin pregnancy. May God show her a different type of healthcare at Mission Hospital.

With a hectic month behind us, here are some of the highlights:
a LomaLinda medical team during April, seeing more than 500 patients; Baby John surviving a 6 hour convulsion, returning home today after a “free” stay in hospital for 2 weeks; Rebuilding the library and boys dorm, together with a new teachers’ resource room; 7 volunteers helping out as a team, Aussies and americans working together; Baby Bekah and Dokmai both having a sick free month; 69 children in house; many new ones from the troubled Burma border; and my surviving a trip through Bangkok in the violent Sunday, delivering Sarah safely back to the airport: Last weekend 8 of us gained our 1st reponder certificates for ambulance duties! What have you been doing????
Seriously, All the volunteers leave in the next two weeks so then there will be me and Leslie.

In between re building and medical teams, the volunteers and kids have built our small church at the Lakeside. This building is wall-less decorated by flowers growing in the gardens, and hanging from the shade cloth! Already we have held church there twice. This evening we will have a wedding! God is so good to us, we have been so slow to build His altar!

We have had a hectic month, so no communication! At the best of times its twice a month!!
The boys dorm needed a rebuild after the roof was off. That took a heap of effort so the big boys came home from university to help. It’s together again.
Next we had a great medical team come from Loma Linda…. They played with kids and reached out to more than 500 local people with medicines. We even we into the area where Bilay is working and spent last Sabbath with him! God is good.
Now we have all kids back in the dormitory… worship sounds full bodied again! We have new kids arriving every day. Yesterday there were new orphans, then a family of four whose father had been captured by the Burmese! Mother is sick and struggling.
